A reasonably early start today to drive back to Chris' parents house in Vidor (TX). As seems to be stormchase tradition during 'down periods', en-route we had planned to stop in Houston (TX) and watch the Houston Astros vs Texas Rangers baseball match at the Minute Maid ballpark. Being Mother's Day, it was heavily aimed at mothers in the stands, but was only one third/half full with spectators.
Afterwards we finished the last hour or so of the journey to Vidor (TX) where we had a chilled evening of American pool at Chris' parents house, while Todd picked up his truck and drove back home to Corpus Christi (TX), ending his part of the storm chase.
